Doug McReynolds is a man who is into history. Besides being a member of the 45th Pennsylvania civil war reenactor group, Doug also does a living history role as Col. Joshua L. Chamberlain of the 20th Maine, a civil war hero that is well known for his actions at Little Roundtop on July 2, 1863.  He has appeared on tv and is a featured lecturer at many civil war roundtables on the east coast.Doug is a passionate paranormal investigator and a key member of the ghost soldiers team.  He is responsible for setting up such sites as "Burlington Prison" and "Haldeman Mansion", both of which are extremely active and haunted.  His skills as a scientific observer are only part of what makes Doug an excellent paranormal investigator.  He is learning to develop his "sensitivity" as he hunts ghosts and his ability to sense things has put him in harms way more than once.  He is a respectful, considerate person who is trying to help preserve history for future generations and he cares about his work and the sites themselves.  Doug regularly volunteers his time to help preservation societies and museums, when he is not being Col. Chamberlain. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife Lilly and his daughter Leiasia.

We are people too and like anyone else, we like to get out and enjoy the outdoors.  But on occasion, we are forced to celebrate indoors, and when that happens...it must be PRESIDENTS DAY WEEKEND!  Gettysburg has been the home of these field trips for the last few years, but since the host has moved, we will no longer be able to have this experience on the same day as the party itself.  What a great way to enjoy history!!!!
